I've been working on this mock, this was the sort of thing that I would look to make if i was going to have the single artist on the front of my cover. I like it at the moment but not sure if it looks to bland.
Dan, don't worry this doesn't look at all bland. There are a few areas of white which would need filling but you've created a very convincing cover with this effort.
